Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms

By creating an account or using Merconomic ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're using the Service on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing on its behalf and confirming you have the authority to do so.

2. Accounts and organizations

• You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure.
• Each account belongs to an organization; the organization owner can invite teammates and manage roles.
• You're responsible for the data your organization's members enter into the Service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another organization's data.
• Upload documents you don't have the right to share, or use the AI import feature to process sensitive personal data about third parties without a lawful basis.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

4. Your data

You retain ownership of the business data you enter into the Service. You're responsible for having the right to use and upload the data you add, including documents processed by the AI import feature. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

Anonymous, combined statistics. From 1 December 2026 we may use percentages and averages worked out from your data for a whole month (such as margin, return rate, fees and average order value by platform and product group, where a product's group is worked out by an AI service from its name) to produce statistics combined with other sellers' data, which we may show to customers and offer to third parties. These statistics never include orders, buyers, suppliers, products, names, contact details or revenue totals, are shown only where at least 10 sellers are included, and cannot identify you or any person. The Owner can switch this off at any time under "Benchmarks", and your figures are then taken out of the combined statistics. We keep the right to the combined statistics themselves.

5. Third-party features

Some features rely on third-party providers — for example, Google sign-in and OpenAI-powered document extraction. Your use of those features is also subject to the relevant provider's own terms.

6. Service "as is"

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Merconomic will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
